Around 1977-1978, RAC Japan published a series of direct to disk LPs to showcase their recording and pressing technologies. Each LP has two versions - RDC for Japaness and RDCE for English. Among them there are quite a few sonic gems including this one. It was on the TAS old list, and on Author Salvatore's Supreme LP recordings list, with remarks that it could end up in the Demi-Gods category. What makes this LP stand out is the performer, Edward Auer, is regarded as one of the leading Chopin interpreters of this generation. This make the LP enjoyable either you are an audiophile, or music lover, or both. Because it was direct-to-disk, a sealed copy is definitely going to be more and more difficult to find.
