This group of Memorabilia is from the estate of Ronnie Vaskovsky . The rhythm guitar player and founding member of the Tampa Outsiders, with buddy Richardson.(according to a newspaper clip editorial on the band in the 60s) They were both in the same English class in high school and had a mutual desire to start a band. After they got together with Robert Gupton, they saw Hardy Dial and Gale Mobley, who were playing together in another band. Soon the Outsiders were complete, They won the battle of the bands in Tampa and played at a club called the Outside - Inn named after them, It was sponsored by Florida music, They also played Teen Town. They also appeared at St. Petersburg , Curtis Hixon, Sebring, Bradenton, Fort Meyers, and the surfers club. Later they got record deals and performed in Europe, They changed there name to the soul trippers because there was already a ohio based band with that name. According to fan letter and petition drawn up by Doris Gleason she got 64 fan to sign the request for ronnie to sing a song. The letter states they later became the "Gents" There is much more info.....
