7” Vinyl Single – Demo/Promo Copy:
Tammi Terrell: Come On And See Me/Baby Don’tcha Worry, Tamla Motown TMG 561, Release Date: 20th May 1966, UK Release, New Plain White Sleeve.
A very rare and hard-to-find demo/promo copy of this Northern Soul classic.
Visual Grading: G (Good)
The A-side label has a sticker residue mark and an owner’s name written on it.
Visually, the vinyl does not look to be in a very good state. Both sides have a large number of hairline scratches visible under natural light, and considerably more under artificial light
Aural Grading: VG (Very Good)
Although the various hairline scratches do affect the sound quality, both tracks actually play far better than would be expected based on the visual grading.
Both tracks play through without any obvious “clicks” and without any skipping, jumping or sticking, but there is some light surface crackle noticeable throughout. However, much of this can be filtered out if you have the right audio equipment: for example, by selecting “power mode” and setting the bass woofer to high on my equipment, the surface crackle is significantly reduced and the sound quality greatly improved.

A Note On Gradings
All my used records are graded using the UK Record Collector magazine grading system. This system does not use + or – symbols (e.g. VG+ or EX–), or terms such as “Near Mint”; it uses only Mint (M), Excellent (EX), Very Good (VG) and Good (G) for collectable records. I am continually surprised by the number of Ebay sellers who claim to use this system, but who then fill their listings with + and – symbols!
Please also note that (unless otherwise stated) all my used records are aurally graded and are always graded very conservatively. I do not knowingly sell any records that stick, jump or do not otherwise play properly and also try to list all obvious faults to ensure buyers are happy with their purchases, not disappointed as I have been on more than one occasion when buying used records on Ebay. In fact, I know from personal experience that my VG is better than a lot of other sellers’ EX+! I have sold over 300 records on Ebay since 2001 and have not yet had a complaint about my gradings.
