Comments – A thing of beauty, exactingly reproducing 20 classic Motown singles on lush, heavy-grade vinyl complete with picture sleeves and full-color labels. Because it's a product of Motown's U.K. arm, the collection embraces not only worldwide favorites like Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" and the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back" but also includes cult classics like R. Dean Taylor's "There's a Ghost in My House" and Frank Wilson's ultrarare "Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)," clearly indicating that the kind of hardcore collectors populating Britain's Northern soul scene are the target demographic in mind. Indeed, the music is almost superfluous: no one is actually going to play these records -- Tamla Motown Singles Box Set is a fetish object, no more and no less, and if you're a Motown collector, it's undoubtedly going to become the cornerstone of your collection
NEW AND STILL SEALED!!!! However the plastic covering on the front is somewhat scratched and has a two-inch split. Of course the box once unwrapped will be as new as new can be.
