VERY RARE ALBUM PUBLISHED ON THE "MAREVA" LABEL, founded by the world known photographer and reporter (but also a musician and a folklorist) Adolphe SYLVAIN and his friend Marc DARNOIS.
EXCELLENT COLLECTION OF DIFFERENT TAHITIAN MUSICS recorded in the original countries.
As rarely seen on records, when there are two or three tracks on one side, each track is followed by a "locked groove" !
The front color photograph is by Adolphe SYLVAIN (who did found Radio Tahiti, and, as a reporter, did make the images of the Kon-Tiki at the end of its heroical journey)

ALBUM CONDITION: VG (solid, superficial tears at the end of 3 hinges but no real deep split ; the front image is fresh despite light rubbing wear and a little damp spot barely noticeable ; has usual wear at corners and borders, wear at hinges /// inside jackets are clean, 2 with a tear at opening).LAST ADDITION: WE HAVE FIRST EDITED OUR DESCRIPTION SPEAKING OF THE FIRST HINGE SUDDENLY UNSTUCK, BY REASON OF TOO DRY AND TOO OLD GLUE (INSIDE THE ALBUM, NOT OUTSIDE) : NO PROBLEM ANYMORE, IT'S REPAIRED ! THE ALBUM IS NOW IN THE SAME CONDITION AS THE CENTURY BEFORE.

RECORDS CONDITION : visual VG- / playgrading VG++ (records are still glossy despite somewhat cloudy areas and few soft rubbing scufffs ; on 4 sides you can see single or few hairscratches very superficial ; very rare tiny accidents on all the set /// playgrading = very nice sound, no loss of dynamics, only light wax presence of carefully played records, with few occasional soft clicks at the places described above ; a pleasure to hear and surely a good copy for report)
