T. Rex were a British rock band fronted by guitarist, singer and songwriter Marc Bolan. Formed as Tyrannosaurus Rex in 1960s London, the folk rock group's debut album My People Were Fair and Had Sky in Their Hair... But Now They're Content to Wear Stars on Their Brows (1968) reached number 15 in the UK. In the 1970s, they achieved mainstream success as a glam rock band with the hits " Jeepster", " Get It On", " Ride a White Swan", " 20th Century Boy", " Children of the Revolution", " Hot Love", " Telegram Sam" and " Metal Guru". After waning commercial success in the mid-70s, T. Rex ended in 1977 after Bolan was killed in a car accident.
T. Rex is an eponymous album by British rock band T. Rex, released in 1970. It was the first record under their abbreviated band name, following four albums as 'Tyrannosaurus Rex'.
The album contains electric reworkings of old Tyrannosaurus Rex material, and some material originally recorded prior even to John's Children (" The Wizard" ). A significant portion of the songs, however, were new material. It was the album that broke the band and set them in the direction of consistent success over the next three years.

Original 1970 1st pressing on Reprise Records. Not a re-issue, No barcode. This LP is STILL SEALED in it's original shrinkwrap. There are no punch holes or cut-outs. It has the original gimmick gatefold cover, with the 3/4 sideways poster cover. It also has the hype sticker for the single "Ride a White Swan". The corners are sharp. The shrink is tight, and there is no wear to the cover. This LP has absolutely NO FLAWS!!! It looks brand new. This is a hard-to-find SEALED copy!!! Don't pass up this chance!!! LP is in truly MINT condition.
