Description
Here for auction is the original (SAX 2512/3) 2 LP set issued on UK "Columbia" of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Wagner's Preludes from "Tristan & Isolde" and "The Meistersinger".....George Szell conducts the Cleveland Orchestra.Original B/S label's on all four sides.These records have had one previous owner who told me that he had hardly ever played this set.
Side 1. Matrix YAX 1027-3 1R stamper. Side 2. Matrix YAX 1028-1 1R stamper.
Side 3. Matrix YAX 1029-2 2R stamper. Side 4. Matrix YAX 1030-6 1G stamper.
Vinyl EX+/NM. Disc one has just two small light nail scuffs (one on band one of first movement, and one on first band on second side).Both are light and minor and have no effect on sound whatsoever.These are the only marks on the disc even when closely inspected.The vinyl is lovely and clean with a fine almost new sheen.....Disc Two is completely unmarked with a full lustre and sheen and is as good as you will find....The sound quality of both discs is top class.I really don't think you will find a better playing copy......Full clear sound without any faults and beautifully silent background.Virtually no crackle whatsoever (if at all).....Satisfaction guaranteed.
Discs were checked using my GL 78 Goldring /Lenco Transcription deck with Ortofon 520 cartridge.Roksan Kandy Amp and B&W Floorstander's.Discs have been cleaned using Audio Fidelity "Super Vinyl Wash" and "Super Vinyl Rinse".
Cover's are in EX condition.Both have some light wear with some discolouration in places on backs.Clean overall and very presentable./////.Label's NM.No spindle marks...Look hardly used.No sticker's or other marks.
Comes with original inner sleeves in EX condition.
