A wonderful copy of Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs on Harvest Label SHVL 765 UK Press (1970).
It is difficult enough to find a copy of this LP in a condition such as this, but I have been informed that this even rarer. Apparently, once the EMI box was added to the label, the Gramophone text around the top was replaced by EMI text. However, on this copy it remains. I am not sure whether or not this is a miss-print or was just a transitional record but cannot find any other like it in circulation and there are certainly none I can find for sale.
Matrix numbers read A2G / B2G.
In terms of condition, the photographs do not do the cover justice. It has a remarkable shine to it, with no real noticable defects or ringwear, the spine having excellent rigidity. Truly astonishing and I would say Near Mint.
I have not yet sound tested the record, and will update this advert once I have. However based on a visual inspection, I would say the vinyl is in Excellent condition. There are only a few whispy hairline scratches that can be seen only at the most particular angles under certain lighting - I cannot imagine they would affect play in any way.
