For sale is a rare copy of Sergei Rachmaninoff 2. Konzert fur Klavier und Orchester c-moll op. 18 . This album also includes Svjatoslav Richter on the piano and was issued by Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft, aka DGG, and has album number 138 076 SPLM.

This issue album weighs 180 grams on the button and has the red around stereo on the front cover. It was pressed and issued in Germany in 1959.

This album, with the red stereo, rarely comes up for sale on here from a U.S. based seller. This is the kind of album you don't pass on if you are an aficionado of classical music.

This album is in incredible condition and you can tell it was well taken care of. The vinyl is jet black and still very glossy. We looked both sides of the vinyl over closely and they are both very clean with only a scattering of very light surface scratches on the two sides. This is truly a beautiful album and on the high end of the grading scale.

The labels are equally impressive with only some very minimal wear you can see around the center hole. The album cover is nice, but it is made of a thinner paper stock versus the thicker cardboard covers from the U.S. The cover is completely solid with a 2" seam split just starting along the top edge in the middle. There is also some minor wear and creases around the edges and a few tears along the right edge where the album slides into the cover. The longest one is 1/2" long and the others are much smaller.

We would give this album a visual grade of a very strong VG+ since we did not play test the album. The needle on our record player hasn't been changed since we purchased it well over a year ago. Since old needles sound like crap anyhow and can damage vinyl, we haven't play tested any albums recently. I'm about to order us a couple new needles and will play test this album when they arrive. We will update any information accordingly after doing so.
