Description
Welcome Back Rare Vinyl Fans & Fiends Alike. So sorry for the rather long un-intended hiatus from selling since last spring but other demands on my time were required.
HERE you will often FIND offered BETTER CONDITION RECORDS than many other
(visually graded only) sources offer, WHICH ARE FREQUENTLY TOP COPIES & VIRTUALLY new or LIKE-NEW
and unplayed or played very few times, AND/OR THE BEST COPIES POSSIBLE of many choice records.
Purchased: NEW. Fantastic 4th album by this outstanding Dutch band led by keyboardist extraordinaire Robert Jan Stips along with mainstay bass guitar virtuoso Ron van Eck (R.I.P.). Often linked to the Canterbury scene musically & recorded in October 1973 at the Manor studio, England, this was a musical tribute to the life of Alexander The Great. Produced by Georgio Gomelski of BYG label fame etc. Except for 1 track here, now minus the excellent original flautist Sacha van Geest (R.I.P.) and original drummer par excellence Marco Vrolijk who graced their first 3 masterpieces. However, that did not mean any loss of excellence in musical quality but rather just a change of direction into new musical territory with new members Herman van Boeyen on drums and Charlie Mariano (R.I.P.) on assorted winds who's musical legacy left to us is so vast between jazz and rock that a book could be written about him alone. Embryo, United Jazz & Rock Ensemble, Pork Pie to name a few + countless other American and European jazz and jazz/rock recordings featured Charlies' unbounded talents for more than 50 years! To this day and ever since I first discovered Supersister in the early 1970's I rank them as one of the best 20-25 bands in history and if this wasn't a second/duplicate copy you wouldn't see it on offer here by me! Anyone who doesn't rank/rate this album as musically important and superb as their first 3 should clean the wax out of his/her ears! Far better musically than many bands that became more famous imho. Also has Pierre Moerlen (R.I.P.) of Gong lending his marimba/percussion talents. When Supersister's original line-up reformed to play Progfest 2000 in L.A. I was fortunate to be in attendance along with a good friend of mine who also flew out there and it was wonderful to experience the camraderie of all of the band members (2 of whom have sadly passed on) who graciously interacted with fans and signed my original copy of Pudding En Gisteren, which was my first introduction to their music and sentimentally my own favorite.
Label/# + Year of release/Date of pressing: Original Dutch Polydor 2925 021/1973. Despite the French cover printing reference I cannot see any difference between the vinyl here and my original Dutch copy. Except for slightly different positioning of the boxed Stemra, Stereo and the label # everything else is the same # wise including the matrix #s, so go figure!? Another ebay seller currently has an original French LP copy on offer and you can clearly see it's a totally different Polydor label and #!Cover Condition: M-(-) gatefold with very little perceptible wear overall but slight/subtle beginnings near top & bottom including some minor creases near edges + 2 stickers on back including one saying made and printed in France. Lyrics, song titles, personnel and recording details are all on the M- glossy black insert which sports a few minor creases and faint fingermarks despite my care. The alternate side details the story of Alexander The Great.
Inner sleeve: Original sheer plastic-lined white paper.
Record condition: Looks and plays M and virtually impossible to improve upon!
Label/condition: Both M!
Matrix #'s: AA 2925 021 1Y 2 & 2Y 2.
PAYMENT is expected within 1 week unless you're confirmed bidding on other items. Combined shipping is available for multiple purchases up to a 2 week duration counting from the day of the first winning bid and/or confirmed purchase (if Buy it Now) made by any buyer. All orders will be shipped within 1 week of payment with records removed from sleeves (unless SS) to prevent any cover seams from splitting.
Please understand that all orders will be expertly boxed with care and shipped promptly, but I cannot and will not be held responsible for anything lost or damaged in transit. Consequently insurance is strongly recommended for all US winners. Payment is Pay Pal only for all foreign buyers and insurance is unavailable as it is too expensive. Once again, I cannot and will not be held responsible for any item(s) lost or damaged in transit due to careless handling by the USPS or foreign postal services. Any/All buyers outside of the U.S. hereby agree to accept full responsibility for any loss or damage to/for any item sent, and furthermore accept that the seller, myself, will not be held liable or responsible for any refund or further recourse for recovery of the lost or damaged item(s). THANKYOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING & INTEREST AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!
INVOICES: It is not my policy to send out invoices unless or until requested. This is because I don't want to rush people to pay in case they're wanting to potentially win another item or items and take full advantage of my combined shipping offer. I can't predict what else someone might want to bid on and I don't necessarily know from one week to the next what I'm going to list for sale from my collection. However if you don't want to wait then feel free to pay for your item(s) won at any time. All information is in my listings for the proper shipping costs depending upon where you are located. If you're not sure then please e-mail me for confirmation and I will gladly send you an invoice. Please do not abuse my grace period for paying within 2 weeks or just let me know if you're having a problem so we can work it out. I'm friendly and understanding and THANKYOU FOR BEING CONSIDERATE! However, I reserve the right to either relist any item or offer it to the runner up bidder if you don't pay for it within the alloted time period and play by the rules. If that happens then I will not allow you to bid in future auctions of mine.
SHIPPING & HANDLING RATES: Please note that as of today 26th February 2012, I've lowered the price of additional single LPs for media mail for U.S. customers to $1.50 instead of $2.00 for up to 6 albums total, per my attempts to keep it closer to actual costs of mailing. Remember that gatefolds weigh more so I've tried to establish a medium based on that.
1.Continental U.S.A.-1 LP is $8.00 for Priority + $1.00 each additional lp OR $4.00 for Media mail + additional single lps are $1.50 each up to 6 total. More than 6 may require an adjustment.
2.Alaska, Hawaii & Canada are $8.00 for 1st lp Airmail and $2.50 for each additional single album up to 5 total.
3.Mexico & South America are $14.00 for 1st lp Airmail and $3.50 for each additional up to 5 total.
4.Europe is $15.50 for 1st lp Airmail and $3.50 for each additional up to 5 total.
5.Japan, Asia, Australia & New Zealand, Korea, Russia and United Kingdom are $15.50 for 1st lp Airmail and $4.00 for each additional up to 5 total.
6.Africa and Middle East are $16.00 for 1st lp Airmail and $5.00 for each additional up to 5 total.
ATTENTION FOR ALL FOREIGN BUYERS: For a few international buyers lately who have purchased 6 or more LPs for combined shipping the above rates I list have been inadequate to cover my shipping costs because more than 4 additional LPs can push the weight to over 4 pounds into a higher shipping cost category. So for now please ask for a shipping quote if you're buying more than 4-5 LPs. Rest assured that as always I will strive to offer all customers the best rates possible to save them money and be as close to the actual shipping costs for their item(s) as possible within reason. Please understand that LPS, their covers (gatefold or non-gatefold), boxes and packing materials utilized can vary somewhat in their respective weights so with all of my posted rates I try and set averages that are appropriate to generally cover my costs and be close to yours also. Thanks once again for your understanding in my efforts to serve you all to the best of my ability.
PLEASE NOTE: Rest assured that I only charge to basically cover my costs and all of my shipping supplies and handling time to pack are factored in & included already with no additional charges added on to pad the actual sales prices. I strive to satisfy and attain your 100% satisfaction as well as retain my 100% feedback rating!

MY PRESERVATION POLICY on many records that I revered was simple and I share it with you now so that you understand why you take virtually no risk buying from me providing the album was bought new and not used originally. When I'd buy a "new" album and it was something I liked a lot and still available (most of my new albums were purchased in the early-mid 1970's!) I'd initially play it between 15-25 times to become familiar with it and then sell it to a friend as a still EX+ well preserved nice copy. (Adding outer & inner plastic sleeves was standard procedure additionally limiting cover wear and/or hairline paper sleeve marks.) Then I'd buy another new copy and in some cases if a particular favorite then yet another, meaning that I only played the 2nd copy (now my 1st) 5-10 times and the 3rd (now my 2nd if I kept 2) once or twice, always initially taping or now in more recent years currently burning to disc 1 copy within the first couple of plays thus significantly limiting play to this day on most of my lps. I did/do this with many single copy rarities as well so most play was/is on tapes or cd-rs. I bought a lot of CDs of favorite things also which further helped preserve my vinyl and limit play of much of it. Sometimes I also acquired rare British and European vinyl which I never saw imported in stores and sold new in the United States or Canada from contacts I established through mail correspondence during the 1970's. I developed contacts in England, France, Germany, Holland & Norway. Be aware that the MAJORITY of albums or occasionally 45's that I list ARE FREQUENTLY my ONLY COPIES so bid accordingly as you'll not likely see most of them listed by me again.
SO, MOST OF MY ALBUMS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT NEW, STILL ACCURATELY APPEAR VIRTUALLY NEW AND UNPLAYED, AND MOST WERE HONESTLY PLAYED NO MORE THAN 5-10 TIMES AND OFTEN ONLY TWICE OR THRICE AND ARE STILL NEAR MINT!! WHY TAKE THE RISK & HASSLE WITH RETURNS EVEN IF THEY"RE ACCEPTED. SHOP HERE AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT AND DISAPPOINTMENT FROM YOUR FUTURE E-BAY VINYL TRANSACTIONS NOW!
