Description
Superb VG+ Mono pressing of Sonny Red, Out of the Blue, Blue Note BLP 4032. Beautiful repress ca. early 1960s of this hard to find LP featuring “RVG” stamped and “9M” hand-etched into run-out dead wax. No deep groove, no Plastylite “Ear.” Label has “Blue Note Records Inc, New York USA” address on both labels.
Cover: VG+. Front cover is bright and clear with original gloss but with some smudging on the right side near sleeve opening and a small circular nick above the smudge. Cover also has slight warp. Back cover is tight and clean with some discoloration toward the top edge and some handwritten notes in the upper left corner. Otherwise, cover is in excellent cosmetic shape, and is structurally sound and solidly intact without any seam splits.
LP: VG+. Vinyl is just beautiful and plays strong and clear without skips or jumps. Labels are bright and clean. There is some surface noise in places and there are some noticeable clicks on last track on Side 2, but otherwise it is an absolutely pleasurable listen with rich full-sounding Van Gelder production. Great daily use copy for your listening pleasure. See photos for details.
