graded VG/EX- for a strict Record Collector magazine grading system
label: The white/brown label it's in very nice shape aand there are not visible marks or any other defect. This mean that the vinyl has probably been played but there's no sign of this playing so i can say it's an EX.
cover: The cover have see better days! ...but just at the time of his pressing because this is a cover that normally has many wear because it's totally white, matt and with a thin cardboard structure so ... you have to wash your hands carefully before to take it. Anyway the major defect it's a removing sticker tear in the front upper left corner and two vertical creases on the front where the dust it's more difficult to remove. It's a flipback cover and the bottom flap does have a couple of "like coffee" stains and some wear as you can see. I consider this cover a VG but you have to be prepared to have a VG cover if you need this great psych lp. Please consider that I'm very strict in these ebay auction because I don't need disappoint anyboby. The Black & white photo it's in nice VG++ conditions without any problems.
vinyl: The vinyl it's in great shape without marks and plays perfectelly, hence EX- for to be very strict.
review: This lp it's born from the ashes of great prog/psych group Second Hand and in particular from the ashes of "Death May be Your Santa Claus", his second and magnificent album that I consider one of pinnacles of the british seventies music. Side one it's the looong psychedelic gem "Brain Strain" recommended for all the open mind. Side include 4 musical themes more progressive rock tinged psych and much more consequentials to "Death May Be ..."....it's virtually another suite because the tracks are mixed. Great organ solos of Ken Elliot...drums run all over under rythmic shots of the great Kieran O' Connor....Toy McGill electric guitar shine in all the first side and in the second too... when he can! Disappeared or so in the collecting market...hence my advice is... Don't miss! SORRY for the reserve price but this is really the minimum I can accept for a so rare item and this is a correct auction very different the many "pushed up" auctions I see all around! Please open your eyes!
