Description
Hi there once again eBayers!
Here’s a wonderful opportunity to add to your rare record collection with this Sun Record Company 10”, 78 RPM Single, by Artist Sammy Lewis with Willie Johnson Combo. The songs are, I Feel So Worried & So Long Baby Goodbye, released in April 1955. The release code is SUN 218.
The record is in fair to good condition. The label for I Feel So Worried is damaged. The label for So Long Baby Goodbue is much better. There's some marks and scratches which might be improved, but I am not going to try and alter how it was received. The record has some "waves" on it from centre out and along the middle of the track. This is much more pronounced on the B side but is still evident on the A side. This may be a flaw in the production, or could be part of the "skimming" process. The record comes in a buff paper sleeve that is in good condition. Small spindle hole.
PLEASE NOTE - THIS ITEM IS THE LAST OF THE SUN RECORD COMPANY ITEMS THAT I CURRENTLY HAVE. ONCE THIS AUCTION IS COMPLETE, THERE WILL NOT BE ANYMORE. (unless some more come in!)
Enlarge the photographs for the best visual description of condition! Where I’ve used the flash this shows detail. Where I haven’t used the flash is more indicative of colour and gives different detail of the condition.
Please don't hesitate if you have any further questions or queries! Postage will be Parcel Post with tracking.
A friend of Auspickers has pointed out that some 78RPM, 10" singles have been "skimmed" or treated in some way to make them appear better. This process may affect the audio quality. Whether this is better or worse seems to be debatable, however, if they have been "skimmed" then they are not in original condition.
I am no expert on the whether this process has been undertaken on this record here. I only sell them as I get them, so all sales are "as is". I do not treat, amend or alter my items, short of a quick wipe with a soft cloth. I do attempt to describe them to the best of my capability and I try and get the best possible photo I can - although records are particularly difficult to photo! That's why there are photos with and without use of the flash.
Please take all of this into account when looking at the photos, reading the description and making a bid. Thanks.
I CAN COMBINE SHIPPING COSTS. LET ME KNOW AND AN INVOICE CAN BE UPDATED & SENT BEFORE PAYMENT IS MADE!
Happy Bidding!
If you're having a look at the stuff I sell and your interests are along these lines, then use whatever engine of searching you use to find Aus Pickers.
There’ll be updates that you can subscribe to and you can also subscribe to a Category of item (like Automobilia). When I add something to that category, you’ll receive an email alert with photos, description and price. This will be new stuff I get in, so you can have first look at them!
If your interests run to things Books, China, Glass, Pottery, Furniture, etc, then I can really recommend you have a look at How Bazaar - have a search using that it should come up top of the pops.
I know them well (very well) and if you been happy with the service I provide, I know they won't let you down!
