SATURN Records 79, recorded November 1979. All of the usual Saturn production values. Disc has been played very little and worn not at all. Jacket comprises a generic “Sun Ra and his Myth-Science Arkestra” black-and-white xerox pasted onto leftover stock of a PSA distribtion disc for the series Mental Health Matters. That said, it’s in pretty good shape. Disc label has “1979 written on it in blue ballpoint. This is one of over 200 LPs being consigned on auction weekly between now and Spring 2007 from the well-kept and thorough collection of the late sculptor Bradford Graves, a key participant in the operations of New York performance space Soundscape. The collection ranges from Art Blakey to Han Bennink, with especially strong showings of Saturn, FMP, ICP, and US private pressings from the early Seventies. Some prizes and surprises in every batch.
