Description

Here are a few facts regarding this monstrously rare Mississippi Holy Grail Garage Psych 45 from 1967. I KNOW that it is UNPLAYED as I bought several copies out of my MS hometown drug store that sold 45s. Bought them new and still stapled in their brown kraft paper sleeve years after the record came out in 1967. The band was from Grenada MS where I still have relatives. Their guitar player, Bud Bays, is a friend of mine and still lives in Grenada. I believe 3 of the band still live in or around Grenada. I know that the great Danny Lancaster RIP has passed away...a wonderful multi instrumentalist that played with local, regional and national groups
The record had VERY limited distribution...in talking with Bud a while back, he told me that there was a grand total of 300 copies pressed which is far lower than the 500 to 1,000 that I would have guessed. The rarity of the record is such that a copy in ANY condition might not show up on here for several years...much less one in this Pristine, Superb MINT condition.
Mississippi produced some great, great Garage bands some of which went on to much greater things than their first release. This record has the honor of being among the "200 Greatest US Garage Teenbeat Psych 45s" and that is saying something as there are 1,000s of great garage bands out there so it is pretty apparent that the Sugar Cube Blues Band never ever got the break they needed and deserved to take it to the next level. This record will come to the next owner in simply as good as it gets condition....Pristine, Superb, MINT, Unplayed come to mind. Everything that I ever sell is fully guaranteed 100%. FREE shipping both USA, Canada and overseas.
