Description

This is an original UK pressing of Religious Wars, the third single from legendary anarcho-punk band Subhumans, released in 1982 on Spiderleg Records. A cornerstone of the anarcho-punk movement, this EP captures the raw, politically-charged energy that made the Subhumans one of the most essential voices of the UK punk underground.

Featuring the incendiary title track “Religious Wars” alongside “Love Is…,” “It’s Gonna Get Worse” and “Work Experience”, this record is classic Subhumans: sharp, urgent, and uncompromising in both sound and message. The lyrics tear into organized religion, politics, and everyday social decay, themes that sadly remain as relevant today as in 1982.

This copy comes complete with the original folded paper sleeve/insert, featuring Nick Lant’s stark and politically-loaded artwork, plus lyrics and collages that reflect the DIY ethos of the era. A vital piece for any serious punk collector.
