Description
Up for auction here is the ninth and final issue of Sub Pop magazine. Like issue 5, it's a cassette compilation of underground bands. This issue includes a J-card, a booklet, and a tape. Everything's in great shape (though there is a tiny brown stain on the back of the booklet) and played fine the last time I had it out.
Bands in this issue include the Velvet Monkeys, Egoslavia (Greg Strzempka pre-Raging Slab), Underheaven (Howard Wuelfing's band after the Nurses), Incredible Casuals/Duplex Players, Sit: Boy Girl Goy Girl (Jad Fair), the Furors, Leopard Society, Carsickness, the Amadots, XXX (a band from behind the iron curtain), Steve Fisk, Paris Working, John Foster's Pop Philosophers, Heather Calvin and Laura (Calvin Johnson of Beat Happening doing a great acoustic song), Rich Jensen, the Limp Richerds (one of the most disturbing punk songs I have ever heard--grinding spastic anti-social noise from the kids who were always picked last in gym class), Supershaft, the Wipers (no comment required), Actuel, Manetique Bleu, ans Start.
