Description
Here is a United Artists Irish Pressing of Stranglers IV Rattus Norvegicus. Not many of this was made and is a top drawer Stranglers collectable.
Play tested. The pressing quality in the first place is very good. The record itself has been played but still plays nicely and I would rate VG+. There are a few hairlines (typically caused by the card inner) but these do no affect play. White UA labels have a little ageing but only what you would expect from a forty year old. Spindles in very good order
The sleeve is the standard UK issue and is about typical of others I have seen from that period. There is storage wear to the bottom, a bit of corner and spine wear and some ring wear starting on the back, all commensurate with age. Has quite an interesting misprint in so much as the printing on the spine is the on front cover – I don’t know if others are like that. Overall VG or better I would say, especially for this release.
* I have now added a picture of the spine print. I would imagine this was done at the cutting stage of sleeve manufacture rather than actually being printed like that but not sure. It all marries well on the open edge (ie not mis-glued). In my own opinion a little bonus rather than a major selling point. You should also note the red line is parallel it was difficult to get the picture. Catalogue number and label info is also printed on the sleeve in a similar fashion
Inner is intact and again typical of the age. I have supplemented this with a plain white sleeve for the record
This will be mailed in a top quality mailer by Lil Packaging with a PVC sleeve and stiffener.
UK & Europe £6.00
