LP - Stone Harbour - "Stone Harbour Emerges" - This is it! A real one - not a boot - or reissue - or CD. This is an original pressing on vinyl. I have had one of these in my collection for at least 25 years and now I have finally run across a second copy which I am offering at auction. I look constantly for records and in 30+ years of doing so in the Youngstown, OH area where this came out, this is only the second copy I have ever found and the first I have ever offered for sale. It has some flaws and I will do my honest best to describe them below. Here's the specifics:
As you can see in the first picture, the band has autographed the cover "To Kathy" and both Ric Ballas and Dave McCarty along with the bassist and the sound engineer have signed it.
This cover is truly a homemade style cover and one of the neatest I've seen in this do-it-yourself style.
The cover has a little ring wear that shows at the top and bottom of the cover on both sides. The back has some minor cover slick wear and some minor tears in it. There is some edgewear along the bottom edge of the cover. There are no seam splits although one could be developing in a spot along the bottom edge.
The vinyl on Side One has some big scuffs or marks that make the vinyl look VG- The first minute or so plays VG due to a little surface static on the beginning of the first track. The rest of Side One plays VG+ to VG++ and sounds great.
The Side Two vinyl has a couple of long marks on it and it looks VG. It plays VG at the start of the first track on SideTwo but the rest of Side Two plays a very nice VG+ to VG++. It appears that the final track was recorded live (I didn't remember that from the past).
Here are a couple of descriptive quotes concerning this LP which I have copied and pasted:
'Extraordinary 1970s basement psych with two multi-instrumentalists creating a melancholic dreamlike state with songs fading in and out of the speakers, cavemen drums, primitive electronics and murky fuzz lurking in the background. The best tracks go into places no other albums reach. Actually closer to the heart of psychedelia than most other records listed here.' - Acid Archives
'A mysterious duo from Youngstown, Ohio produced this sole album. Despite the ridiculous prices that the original fetches along with a plethora of superlatives from dealers eager for "mega-bucks", this is one album that justifies the hype. A mixed-bag of seventies "psych" to be sure, but it's a wonderfully atmospheric album that veers from folk-acoustics through acid and heavy rock and everywhere in between with fluid acidic and often over-the-top manic guitar.' - Fuzz Acid And Flowers
