Stitt's Bits Sonny Stitt Prestige 7133  mono LP. Original Deep groove pressing with yellow fireworks label,  446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address, and RVG on the trail-off wax.  Musicians are Kenny Drew, Duke Jordan, Junior Mance, Gene Wright, Tommy Potter, Art Blakey, and Wesley Landers. Tunes are: Nevertheless\Count Every Star\Nice Work If You Can Get It\There Will Never Be Another You\Blazin'\Mean To Me\Avalon\After You've Gone\Stairway To The Stars\S'Wonderful\Jeepers Creepers\Our Very Own.

Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light

Cover is a solid VG+. The front cover graphics are beautiful and vivid. Some wear and rounding on the corners with a 1/4 inch split on the upper right corner. The printing on the edge is sharp and clear, there are a few small seam cracks on the upper edge of the spine and the middle of the bottom edge is cracked but not split for 1 1/2 inches. Seams are nice otherwise with a few very small spots of wear. The back cover slick shows some light surface wear, some faint soiling, and a former owner's classification sticker on the upper right corner, overall pretty clean and bright.  A pretty example of this cover despite the flaws.

LP is a glossy solid VG+ with some light sleeve wear, light scuffs and hairlines, nothing feelable or serious. Labels are beautiful with a some spindle marks visible under bright angled light.  Includes tattered original rice paper sleeve that has done a good job of protecting the record but has splits so I will ship the record in another sleeve. A solid but not spectacular example of this rare and desirable early Prestige. 

Overall not perfect or NM but a nice copy of a rare jazz LP. This copy should make some collector very happy. Check out my other auctions for more rare and interesting records. Winning auctions may be combined to save postage cost. Check out my feedback for results of recent rare record auctions.

Grading

Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.

Packaging

LP will be shipped outside of jacket in record bag and boxed for protection using an LP shipping box with cardboard stiffeners.

Terms and Payment

Low starting price and no reserve. Five day auction. Paypal only. Payment must be made within 48 hours of auction close or seven days for other forms of payment unless other arrangements are made before end of auction.

I don't profit from shipping. If an overage occurs I will refund the difference.

$4.00 Priority mail with free delivery confirmation in US. Insurance is optional but I cannot be responsible for uninsured shipments.  

International

Shipping methods are  First Class or Priority International. First Class cannot be tracked. Please see shipping calculator for cost.

Refund Policy 

I stand behind what I sell, LP may be returned in original condition for a full refund minus return shipping costs if I am notified within three days of receipt of LP.  No rebates if you keep the LP. I don't end auctions early, there is no Buy It Now price, emails asking for a BIK price will be ignored. Good luck!
