Description

Sting - Fields of Gold: The Best Of Sting 1984 - 1994 A&M Records Label - 540 307-1 1994 UK First Pressing on Double Black Vinyl
This listing is for a very rare vinyl pressing of Sting's first greatest hits compilation as a solo artist.  Featuring a decade of classic tracks such as Englishman In New York, When We Dance and of course Fields of Gold.  Released during the CD era not many copies of this were sold on vinyl and it has never been re-issued so a rare opportunity to add this to your collection.
Please check out my other listings for other rarities and classics across various genres.
All of my records are play tested on a Technics SL-1200 with a Grado GF3 stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players.  Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - VG+ Overall really nice condition and a strong VG+.  Side 1 has a couple of short scratches but they don't appear to be deep and do not affect play.  The other sides are close to NM just a few whisper lines from sleeve removal.  All 4 sides have a nice glossy finish.  All labels are in superb condition and only have very light spindle marks under a bright light, suggesting only light use.

Record Audio - VG+ Very close to NM, barely any surface noise even on quieter moments.  Beautiful sounding audio with crystal clear vocals and nice rich mids and lows.  Great easy listening and never sounded better than on vinyl.
Record Sleeve - VG Would easily be VG+ but there is a bulge in the top edge where the records have pushed against it at some point.  It has not quite ripped through but is noticeable.  The rest of the sleeve is in lovely condition and would be close to NM.  All other sides are nice and fresh with just a hint of shelf wear on the corners, and a couple of creases on the bottom where the black colour exaggerates it, but very minor.  No other damage or pen marks.  The spine is perfect with full legible titles and good structure.  There is barely an ring wear visible when inspected under a bright light as it is a nice thick sleeve.  No other damage or pen marks.  The original credits insert is present and in superb condition.  The records come in plain white inner sleeves and will be sent in a high quality PVC dust cover to protect your investment.
All questions answered and offers considered.  Thanks for looking and please follow me and check out my other listings as they appear.  I work full time and have 3 children so please forgive any delay in communication but should be within 24 hours.
