At age 15, Winwood became the driving force behind The Spencer Davis Group with chart hits "Keep On Running" and "Gimme Some Lovin'". In 1967, Steve Winwood left the Spencer Davis Group to become a co-founder of Traffic. Just three years later, he formed Blind Faith with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker, dubbed by many critics as the rock biz's first "supergroup." With the solo debut "Steve Winwood" from 1977, the musician took a new direction ("Higher Love"). With concerts all over the world, he is and remains one of the most important and influential artists in pop music. Winwood: Greatest Hits Live is his first live album as a solo artist and will be released on double CD and quad vinyl. The compilation comprises 23 tracks personally selected by Winwood from his archive and presents a cross-section of his career.
