RARE VENEZUELAN PRESSING – GREEN COVER VARIANT – NEAR MINT CONDITION – UNPLAYED!
This is an extremely rare and hard-to-find Venezuelan edition of The Steve Miller Band – Greatest Hits 1974-78, pressed in 1983 by PolyGram/Mercury exclusively for the South American market. What makes this copy unique is its green-tinted artwork, a cover variant only released in Venezuela – almost unknown even among die-hard collectors.
🎧 Vinyl Condition: The record appears unplayed. The original shrink wrap had fused slightly to the vinyl over decades of storage, as often happens with factory-sealed copies from the 1980s. We’ve carefully removed the plastic, revealing a flawless surface with minimal visual marks from the plastic contact (See Pictures) – these are 100% superficial and do not affect playback. The sound is rich, clean, and dynamic.
📀 Labels: Spotless and clean. Both sides feature the original Mercury brown labels with track listings in Spanish translations – a typical and charming detail of many Latin American pressings.
📦 Cover Condition: Excellent+ with original shrink wrap still on. The previous owner applied a thin clear tape along one edge (on top of the plastic wrap, not the sleeve itself) to keep the wrap secure. This tape can be easily removed without damage to the sleeve. The artwork remains vibrant, glossy, and intact.
🇻🇪 Made in Venezuela: Pressed and distributed by PolyGram Venezuela, catalog number 90.035, with Spanish translations of the track titles on the labels ("El Bufón" for "The Joker", "Toma El Dinero Y Corre" for "Take The Money And Run", etc.). A fascinating cultural and collectible twist for Steve Miller Band fans.
