Steve Lacy Plays Thelonious Monk“Reflections”With Mal Waldron, Buell Niedlinger, Elvin JonesNew Jazz PRLP 8206Deep Groove purple label, mono, RVG, Abbey Pressing. “Wide DG”Vinyl is visually VG- range, lots of scuffs and fine lines but no severe or deep scratches, Side 2 is cleaner than side 1. Has been ultrasonic cleaned played in full and ultrasonic cleaned again. Plays with consistent light crackle at or below the volume of the music, and just a little bit of play wear. No skips or jumps. Would pass for VG to some collectors. Still a great playing record with most of the fidelity intact. Jacket: VG laminated, 2mm bb hole in center, few spots of old tape reinforcement, thin maybe 3” split on top seam. Presents beautifully Equipment used for playgrade: SL1200 with audiomods tonearm, Clearaudio Virtuoso cartridge with Conical stylus tracking at 2 grams. Mono LPs are graded with mono mode playbackSold from record store owner's collection (Rogue Planet Music) Ships from Des Moines, Iowa, I always use new mailers, remove LPs from Jackets, and reinforce mailers with extra corner protection.
