Steppenwolf “Steppenwolf” Rare Mono LP Dunhill Born to Be Wild
Dunhill D-50029; Mono Sleeve — VG+. BB hole in bottom left. Light ring- and general wear LP — VG+. A couple of hairlines and small marks that do not affect play.
One of the more sought-after “Late Mono” LPs of the sixties. There’s probably one of these for every stereo copy of the record.
Loud, punchy bass-heavy mix that accentuates the underrated rhythm section.
I bought this from a street vendor up by Columbia University in NYC in 2004. He had a vast collection of super-clean, late 1960s classics that was unusually mono-heavy. These LPs had “1968 Student Riots” written all over them . . .
