For sale, from my personal collection, is Stephen Still's and Manassas's 1972 Double Album, "Manassas". Manufactured and distributed by Classic Records under exclusive license with the Atlantic Recording Corp. Purchased the first week of it's release(Classic Records release). This LONG OUT OF PRODUCTION Record Features Mastering from Original Analog Tape on 200 gram Virgin Vinyl, Original Packaging, Static Free Record Sleeve! A Recordable Quality Record. Fantastic and Dynamic Sound.
Manassas featured Stephen Stills along with ex-Byrd and Flying Burrito Bros. member Chris Hillman, ex-CSN&Y drummer Dallas Taylor, Joe Lala-percussion, CSN&Y, Stills-Young Band, PG&E and later voice actor(most notable for his dubbing of Kun Lan in the video game Killer 7, Al Perkins-Slide Guitar, Flying Burrito Bros., Souther Hillman Furay Band and as a session player contributed on many L.P.s most notably Eagles(On The Border) and The Rolling Stones(Exile On Main St.), Won the Grammy in 1992 for his album Live at the Ryman and called by the Gibson Guitar Co. the world's most influencial Dobro player. Calvin "Fuzzy" Samuels-Bass, & Paul Harris-keyboards(from Still's touring band). Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones also contributed to this album. This album covers a wide musical range, with a repertoire including blues, folk, country, latin, and rock songs.
Some of my favorite tracks are: Colorado, Johnny's Garden, The Love Gangster(Bill Wyman-Bass), Song of Love, Rock&Roll Crazies, Cuban Bluegrass, and Blues Man
I will put the CD that I recorded from this album against any factory CD out there and Playing the Record compared to the CD blows it away! Long Live Analog!!
All of my records offered here on eBay are PLAY GRADED on a Rotel 4400 TT with an Ortofon Super OM cartridge and #30 stylus. I do not sight grade as 99% of the used records you will find on this site. I'm very particular with my grading because I like to record my L.P.s to CD(and earlier to cassette)to play when I drove a car for a living. This is a plus for anyone willing to purchase these as they have only been played no more than two or three times. They are from a smoke free home and have been stored in boxes specifically for storing records. Also I never grade a played record MINT so when I put M- or Near Mint it's of the highest possible quality for a used record. If there were a way, and it wouldn't infringe on someone's copyright, I would place samples from the CD's I've made of my records so you could hear the quality of these recordings.
All L.P's. will be shipped in boxes Specifically designed for shipping records. The record will be removed from the jacket and both Jacket and Sleeve will be placed in a protective polyvinyl sleeve.
