Description
This is a collector-desirable early AA / AB-transition family copy. These early crossed-out-B / AAB-style AA-1006 copies were created when ABC changed the catalog prefix from AB to AA and altered existing AB-era metalwork instead of moving immediately to later plain-AA recuts. That is why these early transition copies are more desirable than a standard later AA-1006.

Condition
Vinyl: Conservatively graded VG overall. One side presents closer to VG+ with strong gloss. The other side has light hairlines/marks that keep the overall grade at VG without full play-testing. Jacket: VG. Front still presents well and retains the original promo sticker. Back cover has noticeable rubbing/scuffing and normal shelf wear. Inner sleeve: VG with normal age/storage wear.

1977 ABC AA-1006 gatefold promo-sticker copy. Side B deadwax is clearly 1S AA 1006-B (RE-4) 1B. Side A is partially legible, clearly includes 1006(RE-3)-A, and appears to be from the early AA / AB-transition deadwax family rather than a later plain-AA copy. One side looks closer to VG+; the other side shows light hairlines/marks visible in angled light, so I am grading the record VG overall to be conservative. Jacket has the original “FOR PROMOTION ONLY” sticker on the front. Original lyric/credit inner sleeve included.
