Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs - Stay
Up for sale is the extremely rare album "Stay" by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs, 1st pressing 1961 . HLP 1014 - 1100-A Both the cover and the label reads HLP 1014. This was recorded in high fidelty on the Herald yellow label with black print.
Visually the vinyl is in beautiful condition retaining nearly all of its original luster. Upon examination, in bright light, on one side there is a hairline scratch, which doesn't affect the play-ability and fabulous sound & wonderful listening experience of fabulous album.
The labels are free from any writing or stickers. There are some minor scratches from the spindle. I would grade the vinyl as EX-
The cover is in very good shape. There is no writing anywhere. On the back cover of the album there appears to have been a sticker which caused paper loss. approximately 1/2" (one half inch) in length and height. There is a split in the upper right hand corner approx. 3 inches long & a very slight ding in the lower left hand corner, minor wear on the other corners and some minor scuffs. The back of the cover is slightly discolored. Overall, I would grade the cover as VG/VG. There is no noticeable ring wear.

He purchased the album in 1961, and it has only been played 2 or 3 times. I am not a professional at grading records, but using the guidelines, have judged it to the best of my ability.
