Description
Released by Stateside in 1967, cat # SS-2042 this is “Washed Ashore” / “What Name Shall I Give You My Love” by The Platters.
This is a green/white demo copy with the release date of the 25 August 1967 in the centre of the label. Both labels have some mottling and spindle marks. The record has clearly been played quite a lot. There are a good assortment of small/large surface marks on each side. The record is visually in good condition. When played, the record sounds better than it looks and grades as very good. The record comes in a Stateside sleeve.
This is our final list of 2006 - but do not despair, as there is still hundreds of soul 45’s to come in 2007 including the answer to why the Shirley Lawson 45 on Soul City is so rare!
All of these singles come from the same special source – an original 60’s Top Rank DJ who started in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production in the 1970’s. Postage and packing for one record will be £1 UK, £1.80 Europe and £2.50 USA and the Rest of the World. For two records, the costs are still just £1 UK, £2.20 Europe and £3.20 USA and the Rest of the World.
