Star Wars Episode III Revenge Of The Sith Soundtrack by John Williams on Vinyl.
The album has been taken from the Star Wars Ultimate vinyl collection set.
It features music from the concluding chapter of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and is especially rare on the vinyl format. This score charts Anakin Skywalker’s descent to the Dark Side, and chronicles the sad demise of the Jedi order. A fabulous effort by maestro John Williams, this album features some excellent and iconic cues, such as Battle of the Heroes that plays out during the movie’s dramatic climax. One of Williams’ darkest Star Wars scores, no collection of the series’ music is complete without this gem of a title. Putting on this album brings a booming orchestra into your home, perfectly rendering the stories from a Galaxy Far Far Away.
This is a double disc set and it plays well throughout. I have only played this about 4-5 times in the time I have owned it. This is the standard black vinyl, and is pretty rare as this edition is hardly ever sold individually, being part of an expensive box set. A latter vinyl edition of this album was released by “I Am Shark”, but I believe it was noisier, and the general consensus is that black vinyl sounds better anyway (compared to picture discs or coloured variants). That being the case, here is a rare opportunity to own a classic black vinyl copy of this landmark recording from the timeless Star Wars saga. There is minor shelf wear on the bottom right hand corner of the outer sleeve (which I gently filled in with a black marker so the white frayed part does not bring too much attention to itself to the front of the cover. It is not that noticeable and does not really detract from the splendour of the magnificent album artwork which looks terrific in this form factor. Please examine the photos to see if it bothers you.
While the album does have some minor clicks and pops, which is common with vinyl, there is no major problem and it sounds good.
