Description
Stanley Turrentine - Rough 'N Tumble - Blue Note LP 4240 (1966).
Rare original mono first press, with: New York USA labels; machine-stamped "VAN GELDER" in the matrix.
Vinyl is in NM- condition. Very glossy, with just a few very light inaudible sleeve scuffs. Very nice labels, no spindle marks I can see. Perhaps played once or twice. Original "27 Years Blue Note" sleeve included! (see photos)
Jacket is in VG+ condition, with 43 W. 61st address on bottom reverse. Nice all around, with a laser-sharp spine. General light wear and a bit of ringwear in the white portions of the jacket, and very light staining on the bottom (see photos).
Superb all-star line-up for this groover - Stanley, Pepper Adams, Blue Mitchell, James Spaulding, Grant Green, McCoy Tyner, Bob Cranshaw and Mickey Roker. Arrangements by Duke Pearson. A veritable murders' row of Blue Note superstars.
