Description
STAN FREBERG *Public Service Radio Spots for the US ARMY, (1962) - RARE, 2X 12" LP's of material written and performed by Stan Freberg. These spots have never been re-issued in any format, and feature typically-crazy Stan Freberg dialogue in a series of short "skits' on ARMY enlistment for Radio Commercials. 4-Different commercial "skits", - repeated 2X on each side of the 1st record. Each track is individually banded, so that the commecial plays once, (without trailing into the next spot).
2nd record is an assortment of musical "Programming Aids" used as "lead-ins" to weather, news and radio time-checks. (no Freberg - just early 60's musical enticements for enlistment in the UA ARMY!). Also banded for individual-spot airplay. Both records say, "Property of US ARMY".
This is a VERY RARE 2-record collection in VG+ / NM condition! The FREBERG record shows very minor sleeve marks and handling wear. Plays NM. Labels on both records are clean and undamaged. Cover is also VG+ / NM with NO ring-wear, writing, stickers or seam-splits. Original brown-paper inner sleeves also in NM condition. (Records kept in VRP-type sleeves, and will be removed from cover for shipping). NO RESERVE
