Description
This is the original 1970 UK issue of Spooky Tooth's fourth studio album, with the pink i Island labels, the earliest A//1 B//1 matrices and 1-1-2/1-1-1 stampers of the very first presses!
The album was released in July 1970 and recorded at Island Studios in May. Gary Wright had quit the band in early 1970 after the release of their third album 'Ceremony' in December 1969, against the bands wishes. The album was a mix of covers of songs written by The Beatles, Joe Cocker & Elton John and original songs by Gary Wright and Chris Stainton part of Joe Cocker's Grease Band. The album was well recieved by critics and the three original band members went on tour in Europe, but at the end of the tour the band broke up and Mike Harrison went solo.....The MacNeill Press Ltd matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inner is intact and is in EX condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with a few faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two small needle scuffs visible on each side, that do not affect play. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of one or two faint spindle markings. The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief, low background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, just a really loud & lively listen that plays great. The matrix nos. are; ILPS-9117, A//1 stamper 1-1-2, B//1 stamper 1-1-1. This is one of the first few hundred copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1970 UK stereo issue of this album!

All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
Royal Mail post to Europe (All EU countries & non EU countries, including Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, etc.), the Rest of the World (Zone 1, including Canada, Japan, Brazil, Korea, China, South Africa, etc.) and the Rest of the World Zones 2 & 3 (the USA, Australia & New Zealand etc).
All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
