Spin Underground Radio Show 1985 2-LP's Rare Minutemen Concert Excellent Vinyl

A Treasure Trove of Rare material here !  Spin Magazine put out several of these "Spin Radio Underground" radio shows in 1985, the first year they began publishing the magazine. This one is hosted by Spin music writer Andrea 'enthal.
This is a 2-Record set that includes a rare Minutemen concert recorded with Top-Notch (definitely not bootleg-level) sound quality at  "Studio Z" in Los Angeles, CA. It's a 7-song 20-minute set that includes "Corona", Little Man With a Gun In His Hand", and "This Ain't No Picnic".  The only real surface noise on the entire 2-record set occurs during the opening 30 seconds of the Minutemen's on-stage banter and instrumental warming-up.

One of only 4 songs ever released by brainy British dub-rockers The Adams Family (from their self-released 1984 7-inch EP) ..........Obscure British punks Asbestos Rockpyle doing their slamdown of Sex Pistols/Public Image Ltd. leader Johnny Lydon  .........The segment with Pere Ubu includes an interview with member Tom Herman about the recording of  "30 Seconds Over Tokyo."  .........The version of Echo and the Bunnymen's "Monkeys" here is the original drum-machine version found only on their box set. .........The version of the Jesus & Mary Chain's 'Upside Down" here is the original version released as a British single. ........."Evil Honky Stomp" is from Danielle Dax's album "The Jesus Egg That Wept" - still hard to find on CD at a reasonable price. (some brief minor surface noise on this track) .........obscure American indie-country-punk from The Zany Guys (contemporaries of the Sun City Girls in Arizona's freak-ish '80s underground scene). .........legendary American indie-punkers M.D.C. .........British Indie-Punk from Chaos U.K. and Turkey Bones & the Wild Dogs (more like Goth-punk) .........Interviews and music from Jim "Foetus" Thirwell of the uncomfortably-named Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel. The only thing here that's not rare at all is a little-known 10,000 Maniacs song from their self-released 1983 debut,  now available on their "Hope Chest" CD.
Being a radio show, most of the songs -- except for the Minutemen concert -- are talked over a little in the beginning by the DJ, Andrea 'enthal. The songs are not all separated like on a regular album. It's a radio show with 15 to 20-minute segments.
Vinyl condition is Excellent almost all the way through, Near-Mint at times, with the only noticeable surface noise during the spoken part at the beginning of the Minutemen concert and on Danielle Dax's "Evil Honky Stomp."  Album cover is VG-plus, plain white, with August 21 written on it in large black marker.

(NEAR-MINT) Very minor signs of wear or cover impressions. Artwork is as close to perfection as possible. EX
(EXCELLENT) Minor disc impression or slight corner creases, no wrinkles, puckers, seam splits or writing on the cover. Artwork is clean and unworn and there is no ink wear. VG+
(VERY GOOD PLUS) Cover is clean but may have minor writing or marks and may show slight wear. There may be just the start of ring wear, where the disc has created a raised area on the cover that resulted in the ink wearing off the paper. There may be slight discoloration or staining, minor seam wear, but no splits or tears. Corners may have small creases or fraying. VG
(VERY GOOD) Covers are worn and used. Seams may be starting to split. There is moderate ringwear, but the artwork is still attractive. There may be yellowing or discoloration and there may be larger writing, labels, or marks. Corners may have damage or creases and there may be scratches or gouges that otherwise damage the artwork. G
