Description

This is the second part of my big auction of Specialty Records 7" 45's. Specialty recorded many great artists in the blues, R&B & gospel genres among others. All of those will be represented. There will also be a selection of a few rare bonus listings from other labels.

Release: Marvin & Johnny – Day In-Day Out / Flip

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1954


Notes: Yellow & black label first pressing. Early single by Marvin Phillips and his rotating cast of Johnny's. Johnny on this one is Emory Perry who grew up in Sherman, TX. Smooth, blues-leaning R&B here. Great guitar work. 


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with basically no wear at all. Looks very clean and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all.  Labels are nice with original gloss, no tearing/stickers. There is some some very light ring scuffing. This is a nice copy overall.


Sleeve Condition: VG, original company sleeve has some wrinkles, one small tear at the top and a small pencil number, but no tears or splits.
