Description
Here for sale is a superb one-owner copy of Spacemen 3’s rare 1990 vinyl release on the American Father Yod record label: UK rehearsal tapes from 1986 that the band claim to prefer to the studio album of the time. The record is virtually as it left the manufacturer, its jacket still crisp and pristine, without ringwear nor even any shelf storage wear.
The then-brand new item was given as a gift to singer/author Julian Cope by his producer Donald Ross Skinner, but was never played by Cope due to lack of a suitable record player. Subsequently, due to house moves, etc., the record was filed away until now, when it was played for the first time for the purposes of this eBay sale. All the tracks (listed below) were found to be clean save for a single (very tiny) static click at the last second of ‘A-Men’:
