Description

An original 1st mono press of SOUNDS on UK Columbia from '64. Matrix 1N/1N. Stampers 1M/1P - one of the 1st copies to hit the market. 'Recording 1st pub' present as is 'Sold In The UK' - as you would expect at 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with exposed flipbacks. Emitex inner sleeve present too. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A bit of a banger and there's little to take issue with here. Plays clean throughout. Just a few minor crackles in 'Maria' - I think we can live with that... Superb! Side 1 labels have been initialled.
Cover (Vg+) Lovely clean and unaged front with a couple of thumbnails over toward the opening. The rear has avoided the worst of the ageing process - just light evidence in places. Flipbacks are all secure and intact. Minimal edge wear and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. bag present. No side splits. Small tear at the top tape repaired.
