Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Excellent (Supremely sharp and clear sound, no serious noticeable audible crackle at all throughout the tracks, very quiet and no serious noticeable background noise in between tracks, very quiet on the run ins and run offs, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks that are noticeable. Excellent sound quality (Playtested 6th February 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Excellent Minus (less than three or four handfuls or so of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there is not a serious deep raised scratch in sight of any significance though, there may be additional light paper traces and paper scuffing from the record being put in and out of the inner sleeve under bright light but as a rule the record is clean, looks to have been played on a few occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for very well, labels have some slight staining on side 1 label but the labels have no rips/tears, there is only very slight wear around the spindle holes, no pen marks or writing on the labels, overall a decent copy visually)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good + (no major creasing to the front corners apart from a slight top left corner crease and a very very slight top right corner crease, no major creasing to the rear corners apart from a slight bottom left corner crease, no spine splits, no top edge splits, no bottom edge splits, no major rips or tears in the sleeve, no serious rubbing/wear of any significance to the spine, it has a clearly legible spine, there is some slight rubbing to the bottom edge, the top edge has no rubbing, only slight corner rubbing, no serious lamintate lifting or peeling, there is some ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, there is no serious pen marks/writing on the sleeve, the rear sleeve has some moderate discolouration and staining on the unlaminated rear, overall an OK sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
