Well loved copy of one of the greatest albums ever!
Before experimenting with psychedelic drugs, starting a commune,
and making some of the most insane german rock music,
Xhol Caravan played some amazing Soul music!
This mega-rare album features saxophonists Tim Belbe and Hansi Fischer,
American lead singers, James Rhodes and Ronny Swinton,
along with Skip on drums!
Recorded on December 20, 1967!
Listening to their version of Junior Walker's Shotgun makes one wonder
if they hadn't already begun taking something, er, psychedelic.
My vision, I cannot see . . . ahhhhh!
featuring:
So Much Soul
Hey, Hey, Hey, What's This You're Doin', Baby
Memories
Bookin' Up
Get In High, Shotgun
Hold On, Baby
African Song
Just a Fantasy
Land of 1000 Dance
She's My Baby
Psychodelic Soul
This album MOVES!
from the liner notes:
This is different from any other soul-album.
It's not just soul-music, it's music of the soul,
gettin' a little higher, gettin' a little freer.
Integrating the sounds of our time,
making love with music - well, that's
