Remastered For Blue Note 75th Anniversary Vinyl! A Blue Note essential, Sonny Rollins Volume 1 was part of the Blue Note 75 anniversary vinyl reissue campaign which featured over 100 classic BN titles.
Rollins is joined by Donald Byrd, Wynton Kelly, Gene Ramey and Max Roach. The album features performances recorded in April 1956 at the Van Gelder Studio in New Jersey.
