Description

This is an original pressing of one of the greatest jazz records of all time, Sonny Rollins' "Saxophone Colossus," Prestige catalog number 7079. This one has the deep grooves in both labels and they have the original 466 W. 50th, NYC address. The jacket is decent with a taped top seam, moderate ringwear and a clean back that has the 447 W. 50th address. There is chipping on the spine and seams. I'd rate this one as a weak VG. The vinyl is in decent shape as well--it is an EARLY pressing with a FLAT EDGE and has light scuffing and hairlines. Visually it's also a weak VG, but it plays OK--this was my playing copy for years until I scored a REALLY nice one a while back. It's rare and it's far from beat to death. NO RESERVE.
