Grading System

NM The record is nearly perfect and should show no obvious signs of wear. The record may have some barely noticeable scuffs, but it does not show any other visible defects such as scratches. Probably played only a handful of times or never at all. A beautiful copy.

NM cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes or other noticeable similar defects.

VG+ has very nice luster but may show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surface may show minor signs of wear, including very light scuffs, very light scratches, and/or slight warps. A very nice copy.

VG+ cover may have slight signs of wear including very slight creases, folds, ring wear, seam wear, corner dings, very minor seam splits, very small writing, stickers, a cut-out hole, cut corner, and/or indentation, and/or other minor signs of general wear or handling.

VG will have surface noise and/or light scratches that may be deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Not a terrible copy.

VG cover may have more writing, tape, stickers, residue from tape and/or stickers, and/or other similar defects or signs of wear. The cover may have more obvious and/or more numerous creases, folds, ring wear, seam splits, and/or other signs of wear

VG- will have significant surface noise and scratches. Would need to upgrade.

VG- cover will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects are distracting.

G may have significantly visible groove wear and/or very numerous and/or pronounced scratches. Would need to upgrade.

G cover may have heavy writing, tape, stickers, residue from tape and/or stickers, and/or other similar defects or signs of heavy wear that are starting to overwhelm it. The cover may have heavy ring wear and/or significantly obvious seam splits, creases, folds, and/or other numerous signs of heavy wear.

P is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping.

P cover may be water-damaged, significantly split on all three seams, and/or heavily marred by wear or handling.
