Description
This is Prestige Records PRLP 7038, Sonny Rollins Plus 4, a yellow and black, deep groove, 446 W. 50thSt., NYC, label, original mono issue of this classic record with RVG etched in the dead wax. The record is in VG+(+) condition, (a strong VG+), showing some light marks including one feel-able mark on the first track of side 1 which causes a light audible background click at the beginning of the track. Otherwise, the record plays quietly with no skips or distortion of the music. This is an excellent listening experience. The cover with the 446 West 50th St.,New York 19, NY address and blank spine, is excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show no spindle marks. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this famous original mono issue with all the proper markers in place. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP-12 in mono mode.
