Description
Blue label with silver text. Peacock logo, original, mono, deep groove. Leader, Sonny Criss, alto sax; Ola Hansen, trombone; Bob Cranshaw, bass; Walter Perkins, drums; Joe Scott, piano. 7 tracks. Rare.
Cover: Good Scotch tape has been applied to all 3 sides ( see scan). There is some indication that the tape was applied to repair partial or complete splits on the sides. The tape has aged on the back cover but is not noticeable on the front cover. Light aging on the back cover. Very small corner creases on all corners.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. No markings on the vinyl surface. Side 1, Track 1, 1 click near the beginning of the Track. Faint groove noise on a few revolutions on Tracks 2 and 3. This is barely audible and for short intervals. 2 faint clicks, barely audible at the end of Track 3. On Side 2, Track 1, 3 or 4 faint clicks at the end of the Track. On Track 2, a faint click mid Track and 3 or 4 very faint clicks, barely audible at the end of the Track. On Track 3, slight groove noise on the first 1 or 2 revolutions with 2 faint clicks. 4 light clicks near mid Track. Again, all, barely audible. Very light groove noise for 1 revolution on Track 4. As described, the noise is all barely audible and infrequent. It would appear that this small noise is in the pressing and not a function of wear or care. Overall fine, collectable condition. Audibly checked.
