Description
SONNY BOY WILLIAMSON - THE CHESS YEARS, Chess Box 1, six LP's.
This essential collection issued by Charly Records in the 1980's contains 87 classic sides by Sonny Boy Williamson II (Aleck "Rice" Miller), recorded 1955-1964. In addition to his complete Chess/Checker recordings, presented in chronological order, there are a number of tracks either unreleased or only issued on bootlegs. Sidemen include Otis Spann, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Willie Dixon, Fred Below, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Luther Tucker, Lafayette Leake, Eugene Pierson, Odie Payne, Eddie King, Bily Emerson, Matt Murphy, MIlton Rector, Al Duncan, Jarrett Gibson, Donald Hankins, Buddy Guy, Jack Myers.
Condition of records is E, no scuffs, no scratches, no spindle marks, all play clean & quirt. Box shows very slight overall wear - no seam splits, all corners are intact.
CONDITION TERMS
We play grade all of our records on quality equipment. We offer a money back guarantee that condition is as described. Plus (+) or Minus (-) indicates variations.
M = Mint. Brand new, unplayed. We never use the term "mint" to describe a used record, no matter how clean the record is.
E = Excellent. Some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect.
V = Very Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.
We think that most buyers want to receive their winnings quickly, so we offer the fastest mail options and we pack our records very carefully in heavy duty mailers. Shipments are made on Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Records which have been paid for by 3:00 PM on Fridays and Mondays will be shipped on the next shipping day.;
