Description

This is a rare opportunity for collectors of exotic, esoteric and obscure private press records and connoisseurs of Christian Rock and choral rock opera to own this hugely scarce example. 

Recorded in 1974 in the chapel of Holy Trinity Church, Hounslow, West London, Music and Lyrics by Carolyn Gower, performed by the church's Trinity Plus youth club backed by full rock band and brass. 

Although clearly amateurish in its recording and production and in the vocal performances, Gower's original compositions and the backing band's playing and arrangements make this a real lost treasure. At times it has a French library funk feel, at others prog and even psyche moments, presumably this, combined with the scarcity is why the only two copies that have been sold online in the last five years have gone for up to £350. 


Condition: 

Vinyl is Excellent / Ex-  clearly been played a few times but plays perfectly with no crackles, jumps or pops, wax is shiny and sharp. Labels are Ex too with no marks of any kind. 

Sleeve is VG. The front image is perfect and back is nearly perfect but the edges have a lot of scuffing so the pink card is showing through the black ink all around and there is a two inch seam split on the bottom edge. 

The printed illustrated inner lyric sheet is in pristine  condition.
