The VINYLS ARE STONE MINT !!!   With a name taken from a William Burrough's novel,  the Soft Machine are considered to be the founder of the so-called "Canterbury" sound of progressive music. They began as a spacey psych band in 1967, led by guitarist/vocalists Kevin Ayers and Daevid Allen, and included Robert Wyatt on drums and Mike Ratledge on keyboards. Ayers and Allen left shortly thereafter, and beginning with Third, the band became a more psych/jazz band featuring instrumental compositions only. For these 7 amazing, influential albums, (Third and Six are 2LP sets)each with a slightly different lineup, focusing on a more fusion keyboard oriented sound. Elton Dean is added on sax, Hugh Hopper on bass, John Marshall on drums and the list goes on. The covers have some ringwear, but the VINYLS are STONE MINT and the labels have NO spindles, they look UNPLAYED!!!  Incredible music to say the least!!! ***PLEASE NOTE*** I clean all my records with a NITTY GRITTY Professional Record cleaning machine if necessary. I pack records carefully. Records are placed outside of the album cover in a record sleeve. Albums are bubbled wrapped for safety and mailed in a strong cardboard record mailer box!!!
