Description
Here it is, a holy grail original! Soap - East Of Underground psych/funk masterpiece, released by The United States Special Services Agency, Europe! This is an 100% original pressing from 1971, NOT the 2011 Now & Again re-issue. These bands consisted of soldiers in the United States Army stationed in Germany in the 1970's. Not much is known of these bands, or the artists who played in them. Now & Again spent time with the Army trying to archive and detail the history of this record. I'm not familiar with the re-issue. However, I do believe they were able to obtain some nice bits of information to present with their re-issue. But this is no re-pop, it's the real deal!
Jacket Grading: VG+ There are some scuffs on the jacket, along with some minor tears. I believe the pictures make it seem worse than they are. There are no seams that are split, but some frail ends do appear. There are no stains, and no funky smells either!
Vinyl Grading: Disc 1 Overall - Excellent condition!
Side 1: Excellent - There are no scuffs, no scratches, no pops. It's hard not to say this record is near mint, but I will grade conservatively, and give it a strong Excellent condition! It sounds fantastic! Side 2: Excellent - There are no scuffs, no scratches, no pops.
