Description

The Smiths - William, It Was Really Nothing (12", Italy)

Rough Trade/Virgin VINX 71

Includes Unreleased Version of How Soon Is Now?

Up for sale here is one of the rarest Smiths records around, the Italian 12" of William, It Was Really Nothing, featuring the unreleased alternate take of How Soon Is Now? I bought two of these back in the 80s, and have decided it's time to pass my spare onto an appreciative new owner. On the surface, this looks just like the standard UK copy - until you play it, and discover that the version of How Soon Is Now? is actually a studio out-take that has never been officially released anywhere in the world. This is an astonishingly rare record which appeared right near the top of the Smiths Top 100 feature a couple of years ago; it's in great nick (check out the pics) and I've started it at a reasonable price - grab this super rarity while you can. Happy bidding!

CONDITION:

Labels: EX+ (very clean, no spindle marks)

Vinyl: EX+ (beautiful shine, nothing more than the faintest crackling in the dead wax)

Sleeve: EX+ (no rips, tears or split seams, only a couple of small creases and minimal ringwear)

PAYMENT & POSTAGE:

Paypal only, sorry. Bidders welcome from anywhere in the world, but I won't be able to quote you a postage price until after the auction has finished. However, I do promise to keep postage costs as low as possible. Ta.
