SMILE – Earth / Step On Me
7” vinyl PROMO from USA.
Scare 1973 USA Mercury label 2-track promo only 7" vinyl single
housed in it’s original record company sleeve 72977.
A-side 45 117-1-1-1 with Letters MR Spaced away from the numbers.
B-side 45 118-1-1-1 with Letters MR Spaced away from the numbers.
Extremely hard to find single in this condition with original promo company sleeve.
Smile was a British band that was founded in 1968 by Brian May and Tim Staffel (Brian’s school friend), Brian May stuck a letter on a bulletin board which asked for a 'Ginger Baker / Mitch Mitchell type drummer' and Roger Taylor responded. They decided to call their band Smile. When Staffell left Smile in 1970 to join another band (Humpy Bong), Smile effectively disbanded. Farrokh Bulsara persuaded Brian May and Roger Taylor to continue, changing the band's name from "Smile" to "Queen" in the process. Bulsara (Freddie Mercury) soon joined the band as lead vocalist, after a number of Bass players John Deacon was settled in 1971.
Smile would reunite for several songs on 22 December 1992. Taylor's band “The Cross” were headliners and he brought May and Staffell on to play "Earth" and "If I Were a Carpenter". May also performed several other songs that night.

· If I do not receive payment for an item within ten days of the end of the auction and I do not hear from you in response to e-mails, I will consider the auction results void and relist the item(s) for auction.
· Items with a value more than 50 euro’s will be only shipped by registered mail.
